New eight-speed automatic: Land Rover aims to reduce diesel consumption

Land Rover Sport combines the v6 diesel in the discovery and Range Rover models as standard with a new eight-stage automatic.
The new transmission with paddle shifters on the steering wheel increases driver comfort and reduces consumption, said the British off road Builder.
