Main new feature in the renovated, but visually virtually unchanged interior is the Start button on the gear lever and a slightly modified design of medium-sized mixer Board.
Apart from other fuel-saving measures such as the continuous use of the automatic start stop feature in the BlueMotion technology models (you will need up to 0.7 litres less fuel) and a SCR-Kat for the diesel models (Euro 6) is technically little change, it maintains the TSI gasoline units with 1.4 and two litre engine capacity, as well as the 2.0 TDI in three performance levels (110), 140 and 170 HP). The all-wheel drive where there on the rear wheels only when needed, is at least in the more powerful engines on the scope of the series, while the dual-clutch transmission must be always extra paid.
New features are optionally added: A high-beam Assistant and the track holding Wizard are new, also the Tiguan can be in the future with the electronic differential lock XDS order.
