With the SUV, Porsche Cayenne has a real Efolgsmodell in the program of the sports car manufacturer. Customers have to wait for the Cayenne sometimes up to nine months.
There is Porsche centres that now only able to offer the March 2012 as delivery date for a new Cayenne, explains Klaus Zellmer, Porsche Sales Manager for Germany, the "Stuttgarter Zeitung".
It comes because of bottlenecks at the Porsche factory Leipzig and at the VW plant in Bratislava, where numerous components of the Porsche Cayenne are fabricated to the long lead times. The Cayenne are particularly sought after the variant under the hood.
From January to may, Porsche sold over 3,000 Cayenne models.
To longer delivery times also buyer of a Panamera must adjust to diesel. Already before the commencement of the first delivery in the July/August for the variant, the waiting time for new customers is up in the late autumn.
